At Hearing Central we want you to get the most out of every visit,
to make your first visit a success, a little research will help!

To prepare for your first visit:

  • Review any healthcare coverage you may have. If you are registered with Workplace Safety Insurance Board or Veterans Affairs Canada the expense of hearing aids may be covered. Bring your identification number to your appointment.
  • If you have personal insurance, check how much they will cover and how often they will pay towards hearing aids. Ask your insurer if you need an estimate and/or a copy of your ADP form.
  • Review your hearing history. Have you ever had a hearing aid before? How old are your present aid(s)? Have you been exposed to loud noise for a long time (for example at work)?
  • If you have had a hearing test in the last six months, it would be useful to BRING that hearing test to your appointment.
